أسباب استقالة البعريني من "الاعتدال الوطني"

In a surprising turn that has affected the dynamics of “National Moderation,” MP Walid Baarini has announced his resignation from the bloc, especially with the escalating controversy surrounding the Abu Omar case.

In a statement to Red TV, Baarini explained: “Abu Omar provided me with a fundamental service, as he contributed to revealing many truths and exposing faces. I personally had no direct acquaintance with him, and I do not base my positions on individuals or intermediaries, as I always prefer to obtain my positions from the source.” He added, “This file has been inflated and politically exploited, to the point of setting up platforms in Akkar promoting the idea that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is not satisfied with MP Walid. However, I view the Kingdom with great appreciation.”

Baarini clarified that his decision was not an emotional or sudden reaction, but rather the result of a series of events and developments, where the level of lack of coordination and consultation reached unacceptable levels.

Regarding the formation of electoral lists, Baarini emphasized the importance of cooperation based on consultation and coordination. He stressed that despite his withdrawal from the bloc, the relationship with his fellow MPs will remain based on mutual respect, and that any future cooperation, especially in the elections, depends on the existence of strong foundations for joint action.
