
Rossignol: I plan to maintain the identity of the Blues and continue to win championships
Chelsea Football Club announced today, Tuesday, the appointment of Liam Rossignol as first team coach on a contract that runs until 2032.
Rossignol comes to Stamford Bridge after a coaching experience in France with Strasbourg, where he achieved the feat of reaching European championships for the first time in 19 years in his first season, after previous coaching stints in England with Hull City and Derby County.
Speaking about joining the English Premier League, Rossignol told Chelsea’s official website: “I am very honored and feel very humbled to be appointed manager of the Blues. This is a club with a unique spirit and a rich history full of titles.”
He added: “My mission is to preserve this identity and build a team that reflects these values in every match we play, while we continue to win championships.”
He continued: “To have the confidence to take on this role means a lot to me, and I would like to thank everyone involved for this opportunity and trust. I will do everything I can to achieve the success this club deserves.”
He continued: “I deeply believe in the spirit of teamwork, unity, solidarity, and working for each other, and these values will be at the heart of everything we do. They will form the basis for our success.”
He added: “I am excited to work with this very talented group of players and technical staff, to build strong bonds on and off the pitch, and create an environment where everyone feels the same unity and motivation towards one goal.”
He added: “There is a real desire to win, and I will do everything I can, every day, to help this team compete and win at the highest levels, so that everyone feels connected and proud to be part of Chelsea Football Club.”
He concluded his speech by saying: “I want our fans to be proud of who we are and what we represent in every match we play. They are the spirit of this ancient and historic club. I can’t wait to meet you all, and I can’t wait to start working.”
