العربية: قصف إسرائيلي يستهدف منطقة على ضفاف نهر الليطاني

A correspondent reported that after verification, it became clear that what was heard of sounds in the south a little while ago was the result of an Israeli air raid targeting an area on the banks of the Litani River, near what was formerly known as the “Lihad Bridge.”

In a separate context, Israeli forces detonated the remains of a damaged house in the Al-Kasayer neighborhood in the town of Mays al-Jabal at night, knowing that it had sustained significant damage during the recent attacks. This explosion resulted in a loud explosion heard in the areas surrounding the town, without any casualties.

This development comes amid a continuous escalation of the security situation in the south, where Sunday witnessed Israeli fire from the “Ruaisat al-Alam” site towards the town of Kfarshouba, which led to the injury of one of the inhabited houses. This coincides with a noticeable political tension against the backdrop of Israeli information talking about attempts to obtain American support for any possible military operation.

In return, the Lebanese army carried out limited inspections in a number of border towns at the request of the “Mechanism” committee, without finding weapons or recording any problems.

These events increase concerns about the possibility of expanding the scope of tension and sliding the situation again towards a wider confrontation, amid cautious anticipation prevailing on the southern front.
