"Resistance Won't Surrender"... Al-Hajj Hassan: Washington is Working to Ignite Sedition Internally

The head of the Baalbek-Hermel bloc of deputies, MP Hussein Hajj Hassan, explained that Lebanon is going through a stage characterized by threats and intimidation, stressing that “the resistance does not fear, retreat, or surrender,” and that its essence is based on vigilance and non-surrender, emphasizing that the supreme national priority for Lebanon is of a purely sovereign nature.

Hajj Hassan affirmed the resistance’s full commitment to the terms of the ceasefire agreement, noting that the national priorities that should be agreed upon by all Lebanese begin with ending the Israeli aggression, Israel’s withdrawal from the occupied territories, the release of prisoners, and the start of the reconstruction process before entering into any negotiations.

Hajj Hassan called on the Lebanese people and the Lebanese state to exert maximum efforts to restore national sovereignty and stop the attacks, then move on to discussing a strategy for national security and defense, which guarantees the protection of Lebanon and preserves its dignity and sovereignty, and prevents it from turning into a subservient and surrendering state before the enemy.

Hajj Hassan’s statements came during a political meeting organized by the public relations department of Hezbollah – Bekaa, in the town of Hosh al-Nabi, at the home of Hajj Nadim Hajj Hassan, in the presence of social, cultural, educational and municipal figures. The head of the relations department, Dr. Ahmed Riya, also delivered a speech in which he affirmed that attempts at threat and intimidation, whether from inside Lebanon or from abroad, aim to discourage the morale of the environment supporting the resistance and sow discord between it and the resistance, stressing that these attempts have failed and will not affect the determination and steadfastness of this environment.

In his speech, Hajj Hassan affirmed that the environment that embraces the resistance, which has made sacrifices and endured displacement, has remained steadfast and has not been broken under the weight of any media or political pressure, considering that the price of steadfastness is much less than the price of surrender and submission, and that this environment is fully aware that the resistance has not and will not be defeated.

He pointed out that the steadfastness of the people and the steadfastness of the resistance fighters on the front lines prevented Israel from achieving its goals during 66 days of ground confrontations, aerial bombardment, intelligence work, and targeting of leaders.

Hajj Hassan pointed out that the Israeli project aims to complete the division of the countries of the region and control the Middle East and its wealth, considering that the Israeli ambitions are clear in the statements of its ministers about “Greater Israel” and the settlements, up to the proposal related to a demilitarized economic zone free of Lebanese sovereignty and subject to Israeli control, wondering how the Lebanese will face these ambitions.

He concluded his speech by stressing that Lebanon and the resistance fully adhered to the ceasefire agreement, but the United States was the first to violate the agreement by not forcing the Israeli enemy to withdraw after 60 days of its signing, noting that Israel is still continuing to violate the agreement to this day, and that the American positions clearly expressed goals aimed at igniting internal strife and stripping Lebanon of its strengths, and reconsidering the file of maritime border demarcation.
