After a long period of rumors, Motorola has officially started preparing to return to the flagship smartphone market with its traditional design, a move that is the first of its kind in about two years.
The “Flipkart” store launched an advertising page for a new phone called motorola Signature, with the slogan “Signature Class is coming soon,” indicating that the company is about to unveil a premium high-end phone, and all the details will be revealed soon.
Key specifications
The phone appeared on the “Geekbench” platform, revealing its use of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and 16GB of RAM, making it among the most powerful Android phones expected in 2026, according to a report by “phonearena” website.
The Motorola Signature will be the first flagship phone with a traditional design that the company has offered since the launch of the Edge 50 Ultra in 2024.
Competition with the Galaxy S26 Ultra
Leaks indicate that the phone will come with a 6.7-inch curved-edge screen, 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, in addition to a triple rear camera, with each sensor having a resolution of 50 megapixels.
The most exciting thing is the presence of a built-in stylus, a rare feature that is only found in Samsung devices, which may make it a direct competitor to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Battery
So far, the battery capacity has not been officially determined, but considering that Motorola uses a 4,800 mAh battery in the Edge 70 phone, the Signature phone is expected to come with a larger capacity battery.
In contrast, the potential competitor, oneplus 15R, offers a huge 7,400 mAh battery, in addition to supporting 80W fast charging.
