
The title-holding Ivory Coast national team drew with its Cameroonian counterpart with a score of one goal for each team, in the match that brought them together on Sunday evening on the grounds of the Grand Marrakech Stadium, within the competitions of the second round of the group stage in the African Cup of Nations.
The first half of the match witnessed a goalless draw between the two teams.
In the 48th minute, Franck Kessie scored a goal for the Ivorian national team, but the referee canceled it due to a foul in favor of Cameroon.
Then, player Amad Diallo was able to score the go-ahead goal for Ivory Coast in the 51st minute with a skillful shot from the edge of the penalty area.
It wasn’t long before the Cameroonian national team equalized the score after only five minutes, with a goal scored by Ivorian Ghislain Konan in his own net.
With this draw, the “Coast” national team raised its score to 4 points, leading Group F, which is the same score as the Cameroonian national team.
The Mozambique national team comes in third place with 3 points, while the “Gabon” national team is at the bottom of Group F with no points.
