بعد عملية القباطية: رئيس الأركان يوجه بتعليمات "صارمة"

Avichay Adraee, the spokesperson for the Israeli army, announced via his “X” account that the Chief of Staff conducted an assessment of the situation in the Central Command and ordered the implementation of a series of security and field measures in response to the operation that took place yesterday.

Adraee explained that the Chief of Staff described what happened as a “serious operation” and ordered the strengthening of the military presence in the Central Command, with the continuation of offensive operations, including imposing a security siege, a curfew, and pursuing militants in the Qabatiya area.

Adraee also mentioned that the Chief of Staff “issued directives to complete the closure of the perpetrator’s house and work to complete the necessary procedures for its demolition.”

Adraee pointed out that “the Chief of Staff also directed to improve information gathering capabilities in the area, whether for surveillance purposes or to quickly close circles, stressing the need to work systematically to enhance coordination between various security agencies and joint work in the face of illegal infiltration, according to the approved mechanisms for dealing with armed operations.”

In a related context, Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi stated that “the characteristics of the current phase are the presence of militants moving individually, in addition to illegal residents,” emphasizing the need to “strengthen law enforcement against transporters and operators, and in parallel, continue to develop capabilities to monitor and neutralize these militants.” Halevi stressed the continued intensive work of the Israeli army forces to thwart operations before they occur.

Herzi Halevi concluded his statement by saying that the ultimate goal “is clear, and it is to continue to curb these operations and prevent them before they start.”
