The mayor of Beit Leff, Izzat Hammoud, announced that the municipality had received a notification from the Lebanese army through the “Mechanism” committee requesting the inspection of four houses in the town. This request was based on allegations from the Israeli enemy claiming the presence of weapons depots inside these houses.
Hammoud added that the committee and the Lebanese army had already inspected the four houses mentioned, and after a thorough inspection, they were found to be completely free of any weapons or military equipment. He affirmed that the Israeli enemy’s claims are “fabrication and lies.”
It is worth mentioning that this development comes within a series of field measures implemented by the Lebanese army in a number of southern villages. In a related context, a correspondent mentioned that the army carried out a similar procedure in the town of Beit Yahoun, with conflicting information about the nature of the procedure, as it was unclear whether it included the inspection of a residential house or was limited to examining a room that was damaged in the recent Israeli war.
