The French club Nice is monitoring the situation of Moroccan player “Amir Richardson,” who plays professionally for Fiorentina in Italy, during the upcoming winter transfer window.
“Amir Richardson” joined Fiorentina in the summer of 2024, with a contract extending until June 30, 2029.
Le360 pointed out that “Richardson” is finding it difficult to get enough playing opportunities with Fiorentina, as he has participated in only 4 matches this season in various competitions, two in the Italian League and two in the European Conference League.
The site quoted a statement that “Due to his lack of participation under the leadership of coach Paolo Vanoli, the Moroccan player, who won the bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, is considering leaving the Italian club.”
Several European clubs, including Nice of France, are showing great interest in signing the 23-year-old “Amir Richardson.”
In this context, Fabrizio Romano, a transfer market expert, stated via his X account: “Nice have made an offer to sign Amir Richardson.”
Romano added: “Richardson is on a shortlist for several clubs in January, and Nice have expressed interest in signing the player.”
The Moroccan player, whose current market value is around 7 million euros, is still of interest to English and Spanish clubs such as Sunderland and Sevilla.
“Amir Richardson” is seeking a greater playing opportunity, with the aim of joining the Moroccan national team in the 2026 World Cup finals.
