A news report issued in Spain has revealed the possible future station for Cesc Fàbregas, the technical director of the Italian club Como.
The Spanish newspaper “AS” reported that Fàbregas has made remarkable and rapid progress with Como, finishing last season in tenth place, achieving the best ranking and highest points tally in the club’s history in the Italian League.
It also pointed out that Como this season is close to competing for the top spot in the standings, and put the big Italian clubs in a difficult position by drawing with Juventus and Napoli, the title holder.
The report highlighted that the young Spanish coach, whose style focuses on possession, control and direct play, rejected more than one offer during last summer.
The report indicated that Fàbregas saw that staying with Como was the best option for him, due to his conviction in the club’s strategy based on gradual success that helps him make the best decisions.
“AS” quoted a statement from Mirwan Suwarso, the owner of Como club: “I spoke with Fàbregas to ask him to choose who will succeed him, and I do not mean his departure, of course, but we must be ready at any moment without surprises, and I do not hope this happens soon.”
Regarding Fàbregas’ next destination, the newspaper mentioned that there was news linking his name to other clubs such as Inter Milan before signing Cristian Chivu, Roma and Bayer Leverkusen after the dismissal of Ten Hag.
“AS” mentioned that some expect Fàbregas to take over as Manchester City’s technical director, succeeding Pep Guardiola, while others confirm that he will be the next coach of Barcelona, and at this point Fàbregas will have to make the decision.
