Reports indicate that an Israeli airstrike targeted a pickup truck between the towns of Jmeijmeh and Majdel Selm, resulting in the death of one person.
This incident comes amid a continuous Israeli escalation on Lebanese territory. On Christmas morning, a serious security breach was recorded in the northern Bekaa region, as part of a series of aerial attacks in various regions of Lebanon.
In a related context, an Israeli drone carried out an airstrike targeting a passenger vehicle on the road between the town of Hosh El-Sayed Ali and the city of Hermel, north of Hermel. This raid resulted in the death of two people from the Salman family from the town of Zita in Bekaa, in addition to the serious injury of a third person from the Iskandar family.
Following the raid, the injured person was transferred in critical condition to Al-Batoul Hospital in Hermel for treatment. The area witnessed a state of tension, with an Israeli drone continuing to fly at low altitude in the skies of the northern Bekaa, while official authorities continue to assess the damage and repercussions of this targeting.
Also, the Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee wrote on his account via the X platform: “A short while ago, the Israeli army attacked a Hezbollah operative in the Jmeijmeh area of southern Lebanon.”
