سامسونغ تعتزم الكشف عن هاتف جديد قابل للطي قريباً

Samsung is preparing to launch a new foldable phone in an effort to diversify its products and compete with Apple’s long-awaited foldable device.

According to a report published by ETNEWS, Samsung is working on a device internally codenamed “Wide Fold,” which is expected to launch in the second half of 2026 and will feature a screen different from that of the “Galaxy Z Fold” and “Galaxy Z Flip.” The company previously unveiled the “Galaxy Z Tri-Fold,” which features three screens instead of two.

The report mentioned that the phone’s internal screen will reach 7.6 inches when opened, while the external screen will be 5.4 inches when the phone is closed, with an aspect ratio of 4:3, making it wider and more square compared to the long and narrow screens found in current “Galaxy Z Fold” phones.

The report also stated that the specifications of the “Wide Fold” phone are consistent with the expectations surrounding Apple’s first foldable iPhone, which is expected to launch in September 2026, with an open screen size of about 7.7 inches and an aspect ratio close to 4:3, meaning fierce competition, especially if the foldable devices of both companies, Apple and Samsung, are launched in the same time period.
