بوينغ: عقد ضخم من سلاح الجو الأمريكي بملياري دولار

The US Air Force has announced the awarding of a massive $2.04 billion contract to Boeing Defense Systems, the military division of Boeing Aerospace Industries. This contract aims to develop a project to replace the commercial engines in the American heavy bomber “B-52,” after completing the critical design review phase.

This agreement aims to enhance the engine replacement program in the “B-52” aircraft by completing the system integration operations that follow the critical design review.

According to the German news agency “DPA,” the contract also includes modifying and testing two models of “B-52” aircraft and equipping them with new engines in addition to the related subsystems.

This contract will be implemented in several American cities, including Oklahoma, San Antonio, Seattle, and Indianapolis. The project is expected to be completed by the thirty-first of May 2033.

This contract will be funded in stages, starting with the research, development, testing, and evaluation allocations for the fiscal year 2026. An initial amount of $35.77 million has been allocated and will be disbursed upon signing the contract.
