Ousmane Dembélé, the Paris Saint-Germain star, is disappointed by coach Luis Enrique’s reduction of his playing time in recent matches.

The technical staff, led by Enrique, seeks to take the necessary precautions to avoid a recurrence of Dembélé’s injury at this important stage of the season.

But, according to Canal Plus, Dembélé believes he needs to play longer to regain his full fitness, and his dissatisfaction with sitting on the bench in past matches has been evident.

The network clarified that Dembélé has not actually started his season yet, as he has only played 14 matches in various competitions, scoring 4 goals and assisting 4 others.

Dembélé started in Paris Saint-Germain’s match in the Round of 32 of the French Cup against Vendée Fontenay Foot, and made the most of the opportunity by scoring one goal and assisting another in the (4-0) victory.

Since the beginning of the season, Dembélé has not played a full 90 minutes with Paris Saint-Germain in any match in all competitions, noting that he missed 8 matches in the French League in addition to 3 matches in the Champions League.

The network reported that Dembélé aspires to a different start to 2026, and to repeat his achievements this year, after leading Paris Saint-Germain to achieve the historic sextuple (“League, Cup, local Super Cup, Champions League, European Super Cup, and Intercontinental Cup”).

As a result of these achievements, Dembélé won the Ballon d’Or for 2025, in addition to the FIFA Best Award.
