تطورات ميدانية جنوب لبنان: توغل إسرائيلي وانفجارات تهز ميس الجبل

In light of the ongoing Israeli war on “Hezbollah” and the expansion of military operations on the southern front, southern Lebanon is witnessing a gradual escalation on the ground, taking various forms, from limited incursions and localized bombings to direct aerial targeting, reflecting a phase of open security pressure on more than one border axis.

The Israeli army carried out a massive bombing this dawn in the Al-Kasayer neighborhood, east of the city of Mays al-Jabal in southern Lebanon, which led to the destruction of a three-story house, in addition to damage to the eastern cemetery in the same neighborhood. According to available information, an Israeli force carried out the bombing after infiltrating approximately 300 meters inside Lebanese territory, before withdrawing later.

In a related field context, an Israeli reconnaissance plane dropped a bomb in the vicinity of workers and farmers on the outskirts of the town of Al-Wazzani, with no reports of casualties, while tension prevailed in the area.

The National News Agency reported yesterday that an Israeli drone dropped a sound bomb on the outskirts of the town of Aita al-Shaab in the district of Bint Jbeil, coinciding with the Israeli army sweeping the outskirts of the town of Aitaroun with machine guns from the Al-Malikiyah site.

This field development comes after information reported earlier yesterday that an Israeli raid targeted a car on the Quneitra – Al-Maamariya road in the Sidon district, resulting in casualties, before the Ministry of Health later announced the death of 3 people in the raid.

In the same context, a statement was issued by the Israeli army spokesman, “Avichay Adraee,” in which he announced that the Israeli army carried out an attack targeting a number of “Hezbollah” elements in southern Lebanon, without providing additional details about the nature of the operation or its results.

These developments come amid a continuous escalation on more than one southern axis, amid indications of a more sensitive phase of confrontation, with the continuation of Israeli operations at varying rates, and increasing fears of the situation sliding towards a broader escalation, in the absence of any serious indications of a near-term field or political containment, which puts Lebanon before a stage open to complex security possibilities and serious repercussions on border and internal stability.
