Hamadeh pointed out that “some sponsors of the political forces inside have begun to publicly propose postponing the parliamentary elections,” considering that the goal of this is to “buy time to bring about a change in the resistance environment,” but this environment, in his words, “is becoming more attached to the resistance and its choices.”
Hamadeh expressed his thanks to the deputies who responded to the invitation of the Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, to attend the public session, which resulted in the approval of “vital laws related to all Lebanese people and not to one group without another.” On the other hand, he criticized those who were absent from the session, stating that “they are only concerned with their own interests and their narrow alleys,” and pointing out that their boycott came “in service of the outside,” which led to their isolation from the rest of the political forces in Lebanon.
Hamadeh concluded his speech by emphasizing that “all that is heard of media hype and political scaremongering will be of no use to the resistance and its environment,” which “has proven and proves daily its adherence to the option of steadfastness in the face of aggression.” He added that “the resistance is strong and capable,” considering that the evidence for this is “the size of the global campaign against it and the movement of international delegations,” asking: “Why all this interest in Lebanon from countries if not for the existence of a strong resistance that constitutes an impregnable barrier in the face of any attempt to occupy or aggression against Lebanon and its people?”
