واتساب: ميزة جديدة لتفادي المواقف المحرجة!

WhatsApp has announced a new feature that allows users to leave chat groups silently, with only group admins being notified of the departure.

This update comes in response to requests from users who find it embarrassing or worrying to have a notification appear when they leave the group, especially in large groups that see a large flow of messages. This new feature gives users greater privacy and flexibility in managing their time, which is important in family, study, or professional groups with large numbers of members.

How to leave the group silently:

To quietly exit a group, the user opens the WhatsApp application, goes to the group chat they want to leave, then clicks on the group name at the top of the screen to enter its information page, then scrolls down and selects the “Exit Group” option. Upon confirmation, the user will leave the group and only the group admins will be notified, while the rest of the members will not see a departure notification. The user can also mute notifications or archive the group to reduce distraction without having to leave it immediately.

The importance of the feature for time management and privacy:

This feature helps users to quietly withdraw from groups that see a large flow of messages, reducing the stress and embarrassment resulting from public departures, and gives them greater freedom to manage their digital time and alleviate social pressure, especially in the presence of curious members who always ask about the reason for leaving. It should be noted that the rest of the members will not receive an automatic notification of the departure, but they can find out when reviewing the group information page.
