8 خطوات سهلة لتعزيز صحتك قبل حلول عام 2026: وداعا لـ"الجيم" و"الدايت"

As the end of 2025 approaches, many are considering making radical changes to their health, such as following strict diets or engaging in strenuous exercise. However, experts explain that sustainable health improvement is not achieved through exaggeration, but through adopting simple daily habits and practicing them regularly.

Dr. Saurabh Sethi, a gastroenterology trainee at Harvard and AIIMS, published on his Instagram account 8 easy, scientifically supported habits that can make a big difference in health before 2026, according to “The Economist” newspaper.

Sethi advises starting the day with gratitude instead of browsing the phone, because exposure to screens at the beginning of the day increases stress levels, while gratitude helps calm the nervous system and improve digestion.

He also focuses on the importance of exposure to sunlight in the morning for 10 minutes to regulate the biological clock and promote heart health and metabolism.

He recommends walking for 10 minutes after meals to improve digestion and regulate blood sugar levels, and adding fermented foods such as yogurt to the diet several times a week to promote beneficial bacteria in the gut.

He also encourages the use of herbs and spices such as turmeric, ginger and cumin for their anti-inflammatory and digestive benefits, and following a diet based on allocating only 12 hours a day for eating to promote hormone balance and reduce inflammation.

Sethi emphasizes the importance of eating berries for their role in protecting the liver and nourishing beneficial bacteria, in addition to prioritizing sleep by getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep a day, because of its essential role in regenerating the microbiome and supporting immunity and general health.

The doctor concludes by saying that these small habits, when adhered to together, can have a significant impact on health, energy and psychological balance, and help to welcome 2026 with better health and greater vitality.
