
The forum announced in a statement that the fruitful discussions and specialized interventions were the cornerstone of its work, contributing to opening new horizons for cooperation between the two sides. The statement affirmed that the forum constitutes a strategic platform for monitoring political, economic, and social transformations in the Mediterranean region and converting ideas into joint, actionable projects.
The statement also clarified that this meeting provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and strengthen partnerships between Lebanon and Italy.
The forum witnessed important speeches by the Lebanese Ambassador to Italy, “Carla Jazzar,” and “Patricia Issa,” in addition to a speech by the Vice President of the Tripoli Chamber of Commerce and Industry, “Ibrahim Fawz,” who emphasized the importance of the pivotal role that Lebanon plays in the Middle East and its strategic economic and geographical position.
There was also an intervention by a member of the Lebanese delegation, “Raymond Metri,” in which he called for expanding the participation of the Italian private sector in development projects in Lebanon, pointing out that direct cooperation can achieve tangible results on the economic and investment levels. He also stressed the need to create a safe and attractive environment for Italian investments, and pointed to the efforts made in Lebanon to achieve stability, launch new projects, and strengthen existing partnerships.
His intervention was widely praised by the attendees and was considered an additional step towards building a long-term partnership between the two countries and enhancing Lebanon’s position as a promising destination for European investments in general, and Italian investments in particular.
