مايكروسوفت: تنبيه بشأن خاصية تجريبية للذكاء الاصطناعي في ويندوز 11

Microsoft has warned Windows 11 users against using a new artificial intelligence feature that is still under testing on computers.

The company reported that the “Proxy Server” feature based on artificial intelligence appeared in version 26220.7262 of the system, and users can activate it manually through the artificial intelligence components section.

When this feature is activated, the system immediately displays a warning message confirming that it is experimental and may negatively affect the device’s performance, ranging from errors in responses to disruptions in system behavior.

Microsoft explained that the programming language model on which the “Proxy Server” feature is based is still incomplete, and may sometimes provide answers that seem correct but are actually inaccurate, due to lack of training data, misunderstanding of context, or other factors.

Technology experts indicate that some hackers have already begun testing methods to target these new artificial intelligence-based technologies.

Among the possible scenarios is the subtle manipulation of instructions within the server, by including malicious commands in documents or interface elements, which artificial intelligence can execute automatically.

In such cases, the server could theoretically install malware or leak sensitive data.

Microsoft promises to enhance protection by adding more precise permissions and barriers against potential cyberattacks, and currently advises running this experimental feature only for people who understand the risks associated with it. (Arm News)
