كنعان يصف لقاءه مع البابا بأنه "أروع لقاء للبنان" ورسالة رجاء وتصالح

MP Ibrahim Kanaan expressed his opinion on the meeting between Pope Leo XIV and young people in Bkerke this evening, via his account on the “X” platform, where he described this event as “the most wonderful meeting for Lebanon,” stressing that the Pope and the youth together presented “the strongest message of hope, reconciliation, unity and peace.”

Kanaan also indicated that this meeting represents a clear covenant for a future based on justice, “rejects hatred and calls for unity among Christians,” while emphasizing the need to “participate in building the future with Muslims” within the framework of a comprehensive national vision.

Kanaan believes that this moment transcends the current circumstances, and represents a genuine call to restore trust between the Lebanese and rebuild a just state based on genuine partnership and convergence.

In conclusion, he affirmed that the youth, in addition to the message brought by the Pope, have revived hope in the possibility of building a new nation worthy of the sacrifices of its children.
