
The minister also emphasized the paramount importance of immediately commencing reconstruction operations, stressing that these operations must be under Palestinian supervision and management, whether in the West Bank or the Gaza Strip.

In a related context, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon “UNIFIL” confirmed that the Israeli army still maintains positions inside Lebanese territory, noting that it documented more than ten thousand air and land violations during the past year.
UNIFIL affirmed that full adherence to Resolution 1701, both in letter and spirit, is the only way to achieve lasting stability in southern Lebanon.
The international force explained that it is working in cooperation with its partners to contribute to achieving stability in southern Lebanon, noting the existence of unauthorized challenges, weapons, and equipment that are found in the area.
