Spanish coach Cesc Fàbregas, coach of the Italian team Como, has confirmed the stay of the team’s talent, Nico Paz, thus denying the news that spoke of his possible return to Real Madrid in the upcoming winter transfer period.
After reports from South America spread indicating that Real Madrid is seriously considering bringing Nico Paz back during the upcoming winter transfer period, Fàbregas came out to confirm that the Argentinian player will not leave the team in the middle of the season.
Fàbregas said in statements reported by the “Football Italia” website: “There is nothing to say, he is a Como player, and he will definitely stay with us.”
He added: “It then depends on the decision of the other club. I would not rule out Nico Paz staying here next season as well. He is ambitious, and he can build a great football career, but why not do it here in Como?”
He continued: “He contributed to our growth, and vice versa, you can see that. You can see how happy a person is through his eyes, and I think he is happy here now.”
It is worth noting that Nico Paz is linked to a contract with the Italian club Como, with Real Madrid having the option to renew his contract in the summer of 2026 or 2027.
The “Football Italia” website had previously stated that Nico Paz will not return to Real Madrid in the upcoming winter transfer period.
During the press conference preceding his team’s match against Sassuolo, the Spanish coach was asked about the possibility of meeting one of his former Chelsea teammates, Nemanja Matić, the veteran midfielder who currently plays for Sassuolo.
