
This meeting, which took place in the Minister of Finance’s office and was attended by experts from the ministry, was dedicated to discussing ways to help overcome the administrative and organizational difficulties related to establishing offices for German development institutions and bodies in Lebanon, in order to facilitate their work and enhance their ability to implement their programs with the highest levels of efficiency.
The meeting also discussed the issue of exemptions related to current and future German development cooperation projects in Lebanon, in various Lebanese ministries and administrations, in order to remove any obstacles that may hinder the implementation of projects funded by the German side and facilitate the work of field teams.
Minister Jaber affirmed the Ministry of Finance’s commitment to securing all administrative and legal needs that guarantee the continuation of the partnership between Lebanon and Germany, and stressed the importance of activating its pivotal role in supporting Lebanon’s development priorities, expressing Lebanon’s deep appreciation for the continued support provided by Germany, whether through development programs or technical and humanitarian assistance, “especially in the circumstances it is going through.”
