نتنياهو: نطالب لبنان بنزع سلاح "حزب الله" بعد القضاء على "الطبطبائي"

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced in a press conference that Israel “eliminated Haytham Tabatabai, a senior commander in Hezbollah, who was involved in the killing of many Israelis and Americans,” and described the operation that took place in Lebanon as a “successful operation.” He also stated that Tabatabai had recently been leading Hezbollah’s efforts to rebuild its military strength.

In successive statements, Netanyahu affirmed that Israel “will not allow Hezbollah to rebuild its strength again” or “pose any threat,” and added that his government expects the Lebanese state to “fulfill its obligations” and “disarm Hezbollah,” as he said.

He strongly affirmed that the State of Israel “will not allow the party to rebuild its strength in any way,” considering that the Lebanese government is required to fulfill its previous commitments.

Netanyahu also expressed his thanks to US President Donald Trump for “his intention to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a prohibited organization,” according to Israeli and Arab news media that covered the conference.

Netanyahu reiterated that the goal of the recent operation is to prevent Hezbollah from developing its capabilities, noting that Israel will continue to work towards achieving this goal.
