
According to Interesting Engineering, the “F.02” units contributed to the production of more than 30,000 X3 cars during their operation, and loaded more than 90,000 metal parts.
Brett Adcock, the company’s CEO, published photos of the retired robots, showing scratches and dirt, reflecting the arduous nature of work in the factory environment.
The company also presented a video showing clear signs of wear and tear on the robots, confirming that these shots are proof that the project was not just a limited experiment, but a real test of robots working for months on a real production line, and conforming to the repetitive and precise requirements of manufacturing lines.
