Zakharova explained that “There is another dimension to the Westerners’ assurances of their support for the Kyiv regime. It is no secret that Vladimir Zelensky is demanding that his Western patrons permanently strengthen mobilization in Ukraine by lowering the conscription age.”
She also pointed out that European countries are trying to “prevent a new wave of refugees,” noting that many of them have already begun to gradually reduce temporary protection programs granted to Ukrainian citizens, in addition to tightening the conditions for obtaining asylum.
Zakharova strongly criticized the way Western allies treat Ukrainians, describing them as “treating them exclusively as expendable material.” She added: “You know, it seemed as if the Ukrainians had spent enough time in Western European countries and gained weight, like a small pig fattened in preparation for the holiday, and now it’s time to get rid of them. This is terrible, of course.”
