The factions affirmed that the proposed draft resolution represents a dangerous development that targets the Palestinian national identity and the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, considering any foreign presence in Gaza “under any name” as an aggression against Palestinian sovereignty and a continuation of the people’s suffering under an international cover.
The factions addressed a direct appeal to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, government and people, to continue their principled and steadfast positions in support of Palestine, stressing that the historical Algerian position represents a fundamental pillar for rejecting any projects targeting Gaza or attempting to impose a new political reality on it.
They pointed out that the Palestinian people see in Algeria “the sincere expression of the free Arab popular position,” capable of confronting pressures and rejecting international dictates.
The factions affirmed that the only way to achieve security and stability in Gaza lies in ending the occupation, lifting the siege, and respecting the inalienable Palestinian national rights.
The statement concluded with a call to Arab and Islamic countries and all free forces in the world to reject any form of guardianship or foreign intervention, and to defend Gaza’s right to freedom, dignity, and independence.
