
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has announced a temporary closure of three main roads for seven hours on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 3:00 AM to 10:00 AM. This closure is part of a plan to organize the “Dubai Cycling Challenge” event. The closed roads include parts of Sheikh Zayed Road between the Trade Centre Roundabout and the Garden Street Bridge, Lower Financial Centre Road between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road, as well as one direction of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard.
The RTA advised drivers to use alternative routes to facilitate traffic flow during the closure period, such as Upper Financial Centre Road, Qasr Zabeel Street, Al Wasl Street, Al Khail Road, and Al Asayel Street.
In a related context, the “Salik” company announced a temporary modification in toll fees at the gates, where the fees will be as follows:
During morning peak hours (6 AM – 10 AM): 6 dirhams
During evening peak hours (4 PM – 8 PM): 4 dirhams
Outside peak hours (10 AM – 4 PM and 8 PM – 1 AM): 4 dirhams
Free from 1 AM to 6 AM (Arabic)
