Israeli media announced on Friday evening that the International Committee of the Red Cross had handed over to Israel the remains of three bodies that were in its possession. This comes a few days after the recovery of the bodies of “Sahar Baruch” and “Amiram Cooper” for burial in Israel.
The “Yedioth Ahronoth” newspaper and the “ynet” website indicated that the Red Cross confirmed its receipt of the coffins and that they are on their way to Israel, where they will be transferred to the Israeli army. After that, they will be transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine to conduct the necessary examinations and determine the identities of their owners.
Channel “12” quoted sources in the Israeli security establishment as saying that the political leadership is considering taking new measures in coordination with the American administration and the military leadership, with the aim of putting pressure on Hamas in this matter.
