Kylian Mbappe Awarded With Golden Boot 2024-2025

In a ceremony held at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé received the Golden Shoe award for the 2024-2025 season.

Mbappé earned the title after scoring 31 goals in 34 matches played in the Spanish League last season, making him the top scorer in Europe.

According to the newspaper “AS”, Mbappé is the third Real Madrid player to win the Golden Shoe award since its establishment in 1967.

The first Real Madrid player to win the award was Hugo Sánchez, who scored 38 goals in the 1989-1990 season. Then came Cristiano Ronaldo, who won it three times with Real Madrid, scoring 40 goals in the 2010-2011 season, 31 goals in the 2013-2014 season, and 48 goals in the 2014-2015 season.

In addition, Cristiano Ronaldo won the award once again with Manchester United before joining Real Madrid.

For his part, Kylian Mbappé expressed his happiness at receiving the award, saying: “It is a pleasure to receive the Golden Shoe. Thank you all. It is an important moment for me, it is the first time I have won it, and it means a lot to me.”

He added: “I would like to thank my teammates who have always helped me to show the best version of Kylian. We have an amazing group, and we hope to achieve many titles this season.”

He continued: “It is wonderful to play for Real Madrid, it was my childhood dream and I am now living this dream. I hope to continue here for many years, to bring happiness to our fans who have given me love since the first day of my arrival, even before that.”

He stressed: “This is a special day. The most important thing is the team, and without all the people here I would not have won this award.”
