During the meeting, the progress made in these projects was reviewed, in addition to coordination regarding the financial allocations that the Ministry of Finance allocates to the commission in the form of regular installments from the “Public Treasury.”
In another context, Jaber received from the head of accounting, Muhammad Badran, the “account cutoffs” that the Diwan completed for four years of accumulated cutoffs, which are for the years “2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.” He also received the head of the Banking Control Commission, Mazen Sweid, and members of the commission, where the vision adopted by the commission in its action plan was presented, based on the tasks assigned to it.
Regarding the demands, Jaber received a delegation from the “League of Public Administration Employees and Coordination Committees for Judicial Assistants” headed by Walid Jaja, and the membership of Joseph Talj, Rania Abdel Samad, Rein Al-Mulhim, and Nidal Hassan. The delegation presented, on its behalf and on behalf of the “Gathering of Public Sector Leagues,” the difficult social conditions suffered by public sector employees in light of the current crisis, and the demands that are summarized in correcting salaries and wages on the basis of giving “50% of the salary value on the basis of 2019 starting from the beginning of 2026, adopting an additional 10% every six months, raising the value of family compensation in proportion to the cumulative annual inflation rate based on Law 717/98, and amending the conditions of perseverance and taking into account the conditions of employees.”
The Minister of Finance promised to study these demands and form a committee of those concerned in the ministry to study them with representatives of the League starting from the beginning of next week, in order to reach solutions that are commensurate with the fairness of workers in the sector and the financial capabilities available to the state.
In a separate context, Jaber met with MP Qassem Hashem, where they discussed the general situation, especially in the south.
