Al-Hajjar has assigned the Directorate of Intelligence in the Lebanese Army and the Information Division in the Internal Security Forces to investigate the circumstances of the case. The Directorate of Intelligence was assigned to investigate six Palestinians who were handed over yesterday, and Al-Hajjar ordered their arrest pending investigation. Informed sources revealed that initial investigations indicate that the victim crossed the first checkpoint of the militants in the camp without stopping, which led to him being shot. Then, “Elio Abu Hanna” faced a second checkpoint, where the militants shot at him again.
The sources stated that the army is demanding the handover of three other militants in addition to the six detainees. Five militants were stationed at the first checkpoint and four at the second checkpoint when the victim passed by in his car and did not comply with the orders to stop.
