
Lebanon Today
The Vatican announced today, at 12:00 PM Rome time (1:00 PM Beirut time), the details of the upcoming apostolic visit of “Pope Leo XIV” to Lebanon.
The visit is scheduled to last three days, from November 30 to December 2, 2025. The “Pope” will arrive in Lebanon from Turkey, where he will participate in the celebrations of the 1700th anniversary of the Ecumenical Council of Nicaea.

Sunday, November 30, 2025
15:45: Arrival at Rafic Hariri International Airport – Beirut (Official reception ceremonies).
16:45: Visit to the President of the Republic at the Presidential Palace.
17:15: Meeting with the Speaker of Parliament.
17:30: Meeting with the Prime Minister.
18:00: Meeting with authorities, representatives of civil society, and the diplomatic corps (“Address of the Holy Father”).
Monday, December 1, 2025 – Annaya – Harissa – Beirut – Bkerke
9:45: Visit and prayer at the tomb of Saint “Charbel Makhlouf” in the Monastery of Mar Maroun – Annaya.
11:20: Meeting with bishops, priests, consecrated persons, and pastoral workers at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon – Harissa (“Address of the Holy Father”).
12:30: Private meeting with the Catholic Patriarchs at the Papal Embassy.
16:00: Ecumenical and interfaith dialogue meeting in Martyrs’ Square – Beirut (“Address of the Holy Father”).
17:45: Meeting with young people in the courtyard of the Maronite Patriarchal See – Bkerke (“Address of the Holy Father”).
Tuesday, December 2, 2025 – Jal El Dib – Beirut – Rome
8:30: Visit to the medical staff and patients at the Hospital of the Sisters of the Cross – Jal El Dib.
9:30: Silent prayer at the site of the Beirut port explosion.
10:30: Celebration of Holy Mass at the “Beirut Waterfront” (“Homily of the Holy Father”).
12:45: Official farewell ceremonies at Rafic Hariri International Airport – Beirut (“Address of the Holy Father”).
13:15: Departure to Rome.
16:10: Arrival at Rome/Fiumicino International Airport.
