Informed sources reported that Israel has informed the United States of America of its categorical rejection of Turkey’s participation in any international force proposed to be formed to maintain peace in the Gaza Strip.
Gideon Sa’ar, the Israeli Foreign Minister, explained during a press conference with his Hungarian counterpart, “Peter Szijjarto,” that this rejection comes as a reaction to what he described as “hostile diplomatic and economic measures” taken by Ankara against Israel.
Sa’ar affirmed that Israel is committed to the peace plan put forward by US President “Donald Trump,” noting that the success of this plan “requires full commitment from all concerned parties.”
He also called on Hamas to return the bodies of the Israelis they are holding, and at the same time criticized the European Union “for allowing the Palestinian Authority to continue inciting against Israel,” according to his statements.
Sa’ar called on European leaders to hold the Palestinian Authority accountable for what he called “supporting the perpetrators of operations and paying their salaries,” stressing that the “Trump” plan clearly stated that any acceptance of the Palestinian Authority is contingent on making real reforms and stopping funding terrorists and their families.
In conclusion, Sa’ar stressed that “any country wishing to participate in the international force in Gaza must not be hostile towards Israel.”
