In a friendly atmosphere, MP Farid Haykal Al-Khazen received the Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alaa Moussa, and his wife, Lara Moussa, at his home in Qleiat, where he hosted a dinner in their honor, attended by a selection of political, social, and media figures.

During the meeting, an in-depth dialogue took place that addressed developments in Lebanon and the region, with emphasis on the pivotal Egyptian role in supporting dialogue and enhancing stability in Lebanon.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Alaa Moussa expressed his gratitude and appreciation to MP Al-Khazen and his wife, Mona Al-Khazen, for their hospitality, and pointed out that “a diplomat always faces the challenge of integrating into the environment in which he works, but when he finds this degree of openness and affection, his tasks become easier and more effective.”

The Ambassador also affirmed Lebanon’s special place in the heart of Egypt, and its constant desire to support the unity and stability of its people, stemming from the strong fraternal ties that bind the two countries.

For his part, MP Farid Haykal Al-Khazen welcomed Ambassador Moussa and his wife, and praised the important role that Egypt plays in supporting the stability of Lebanon, especially after the explicit position announced by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi regarding the rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza to Sinai.

Al-Khazen affirmed that Egypt was and still represents an Arab and Islamic depth for Lebanon and the region, praising Cairo’s effective role through the Quintet Committee, which contributed to strengthening its presence in the Lebanese arena with its clarity, transparency, and frank address to the Lebanese.
