The case of the lawyer who fell victim to emotional and financial fraud by a person who claimed to be an “Ambassador Extraordinary” is still making headlines, with new details emerging that reveal the complexity of the fraud network built by the accused, Mohammed H., who exploited the victim’s feelings and trust to seize her money and achieve his personal interests.
After the truth came out, the lawyer filed a formal complaint against Mohammed H., and a security force raided his house and arrested him. During the investigations, he confessed to carrying out similar fraud operations against many other victims, using the same method: seduction with fake positions and diplomatic titles.
According to information exclusive to , new investigations have revealed that Mohammed H., who presented himself as an “Ambassador Extraordinary to IIMSAM,” is nothing more than a professional fraudster with a long record of criminal cases, including forgery of documents, drug promotion, fraud, and suspicious relationships with parties involved in money laundering.
The investigations show that the organization the accused claimed to belong to, IIMSAM, has no formal connection to him.
But strikingly, the name of this organization has been linked to several drug crime investigations, as it has granted “Ambassador” titles to people wanted and prosecuted for drug, fraud, and money laundering crimes, raising questions about the possible relationship between this organization and its “Ambassadors” who exploit their positions to commit criminal acts.
Mohammed H. is now behind bars, facing charges of fraud, impersonating an ambassador, battery and assault, attempted murder, and threatening and intimidation.
The case is now in the custody of the Lebanese judiciary, and any leniency in holding people like Mohammed H. accountable poses a major challenge to the judicial authorities, especially in a phase aimed at restoring institutions, enforcing transparency and justice, and combating corruption and crime.
The question remains: How many “Ambassadors Extraordinary” are walking among us today, hiding under the guise of “black diplomacy”?
