Al-Raad: Lebanese Resistance is a Pillar of the State, Not a Burden… and a Salute to the Heroes of Civil Defense
Honoring the Martyrs of Civil Defense and Their Sacrifices in Serving Humanity During the Recent Aggression Against Lebanon.
A ceremony was held to honor the martyrs of the Civil Defense in the Islamic Health Authority, who were martyred during the recent Israeli aggression against Lebanon. The ceremony was held under the title “The Loyal Messengers of Humanity” in the Jabal Amel II region, in the presence of various figures and activities.
The ceremony was held in the Husseiniyah of Nabatieh, with representatives from Hezbollah and religious and ambulance entities, in addition to the families of the martyrs and a crowd of volunteers.
The ceremony began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and a special anthem for the occasion, followed by the screening of a documentary film documenting field scenes of civil defense teams during rescue operations and rubble removal under shelling, and highlighting their sacrifices in protecting lives and preserving human dignity.
The Director-General of Civil Defense emphasized the importance of continuing the approach of the martyrs, whom he described as “a symbol of humanity and altruism in the harshest of circumstances,” and called for continuing the message of serving the people and the nation.
An emotional speech was delivered praising the role of the Civil Defense, considering them “the vanguard of our people from whom emanates the fragrance of dignity, altruism, and nobility, and they are twins of the resistance fighters on the fronts and axes.” He added that “the martyrs and wounded of the Civil Defense are the stars and moons of our resisting people, we are guided by their sacrifices in the darkness of confrontations.”
It was pointed out that the Jabal Amel II region alone lost a large number of martyrs during the aggression, in addition to other martyrs who fell during rubble removal operations, which reflects “the brutality of the Zionist enemy and its transgression of all human values and laws.”
The speaker also noted that “the enemy committed thousands of land, air, and sea violations, and practiced the most severe forms of extermination,” stressing that this behavior “will tarnish its image before the world and make it rejected even by the peoples who historically supported its establishment.”
The speech addressed the concept of sovereignty, stressing that “freedom and sovereignty are not granted but seized, and the resistance in Lebanon is not a burden but a strength for the state and society, after it has been proven that betting on international friendships has never protected the country from aggression.”
He concluded by emphasizing that “the men of Civil Defense are messengers of humanity and a balm for wounds, and that their sacrifices will remain a beacon for generations to follow.”
In conclusion, a Husseini mourning council was held for the souls of the martyrs, followed by a word of thanks to the families of the martyrs and all participants.
