إطلاق Battlefield 6 يحطم الأرقام القياسية: 7 ملايين نسخة مباعة في 3 أيام فقط

Battlefield 6 Success, PIF Acquisition of EA, and Employee Concerns.

EA achieved a resounding success with the launch of Battlefield 6, surpassing 7 million copies sold in its first three days, marking the biggest launch in the history of this popular series. The game also witnessed widespread public demand, with players engaging in over 172 million online matches during the weekend and accumulating 15 million viewing hours on streaming platforms.

These figures significantly surpassed the 2021 release (Battlefield 2042), which achieved sales of only 4.2 million copies in its first week. EA officials expressed their appreciation for the great support from the community and the efforts made by developers around the world.

The game was officially launched on October 10, 2025, and is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The first season’s content is scheduled to launch on October 28.

Days before this success, EA announced a massive $55 billion deal to become a private company, led by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) along with Silver Lake and Affinity Partners.

This transaction is considered the largest leveraged buyout in history, ending EA’s more than 35-year run as a public company. Despite the administrative changes, Andrew Wilson will remain as CEO, and the company’s headquarters will remain in California.

The deal is expected to be finalized in the first quarter of 2027 after obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals.

However, unionized EA workers have expressed concerns that this shift could lead to reduced transparency and diminished employee influence within the company.
