The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
Within the framework of the daily follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat theft, fraud and fraud in various Lebanese regions, and to arrest their perpetrators, and based on a complaint submitted to the Baabda Judicial Detachment in the Judicial Police Unit against an unknown person for the crime of fraud, by deluding his victims into selling them what are known as “frozen dollars” – which are dollars that do not actually exist – In exchange for valid dollars at a price lower than its market value, by publishing advertisements on social media pages. After the victim comes to the agreed-upon place to exchange dollars, the perpetrator proceeds to steal the amount of money in a fraudulent manner, then disappears from sight.
As a result of extensive investigations and investigations, the aforementioned detachment was able to identify two suspects, namely:
-B. D. (Born in 1999, Lebanese), against him /8/ arrest warrants, a summary of the ruling, and /3/ search and investigation reports, for crimes: theft, robbery by force of arms, kidnapping, fraud, and shooting.
M. D. (Born in 1994, Lebanese) On 10/03/2025, one of the Information Division patrols was able to arrest them in the locality of Arayya.
They deposited the piece in question to take legal action against them.
Therefore, based on the reference of the competent judiciary, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces circulates their photos, and asks everyone who recognized them and fell victim to their actions, to come to the center of the aforementioned detachment, located in Baabda Saray, or to call one of the two numbers: 05-922173 or 05-921115, in order to take the necessary legal measures.
