An American official confirmed to Al Jazeera that talks between the United States and Iran are still ongoing, in parallel with Washington continuing its military strikes against Tehran.
The official said that the “devastating” strikes on Iran will continue until US President Donald Trump decides otherwise.
He added that Trump will make Iran pay the price for the recent deaths among American soldiers, noting that the US President is also focused on holding Tehran accountable for what he described as its ongoing terrorist acts in the Strait of Hormuz.
The official confirmed that Trump is currently focused on making Iran pay the price for its violations of the memorandum of understanding.
