The Mufti and Imam of the city of Nabatieh, Sheikh Abdel-Hussein Sadiq, made a phone call to Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nabih Berri, at the beginning of which he expressed “the deep appreciation of the people of the city of Nabatieh, its activities, and its merchants, for the Parliament’s approval of including Nabatieh Governorate with tax exemptions dating back to the period of the previous aggression (2024),” appreciating “this gesture that would reduce the accumulated burdens on the people of the region.”
During the call, they jointly emphasized “the importance of accelerating the reorganization of the work of official departments and basic services in the city of Nabatieh, as this has a significant impact on facilitating the affairs of citizens and completing their transactions, and in a way that contributes to overcoming obstacles on the way to their return and complete and complete stability on the day their villages and towns are liberated from the occupation.”
President Berri confirmed, according to a statement from Mufti Sadiq’s office, his interest in this file, confirming his follow-up with the relevant authorities, as he assigned one of the movement’s leaders to complete the necessary communications in this regard.
