According to the newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, the federation sent a circular to the national federations and clubs participating in its tournaments, reminding them of the mandatory anti-doping rules.
The instructions stipulate that any player selected for examination must go directly to the anti-doping room, immediately upon being notified by the relevant UEFA official.
In matches where a UEFA official or stadium manager is not present, the home team must appoint a person to liaise with the Anti-Doping Committee and ensure the provision of a UEFA representative and all required equipment.
The communication officer is not required to have medical training, but he is required to be fluent in the English language and remain available until the examinations are completed. Two seats must be allocated on the main stage for representatives of the Anti-Doping Committee, near the UEFA representative, to facilitate their movement to the examination room when needed.
