The “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” announced a financial reward of $10 million for anyone who kills US President Donald Trump, in a statement that included sharp accusations against the US president against the backdrop of the killing of the commander of the Iranian “Quds Force” Qassem Soleimani and the former deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis.
The group said on Thursday that the value of the reward was collected from donations from its supporters, noting that it is allocated to whoever carries out the killing of Trump, or to whoever decides to direct it to an individual, group, entity, or institution that it deems worthy of it.
The announcement came as part of a statement that accused Trump of “boasting” about the operation to target Soleimani and Al-Muhandis, considering that this represents “evidence of the moral decline of the American administration,” according to what was stated in the statement.
The group added that the killing of Soleimani and Al-Muhandis only led, as it put it, to “perpetuating their memory,” stressing that those responsible for the operation would remain vulnerable to prosecution.
The group concluded its statement by affirming that it will continue, according to its description, to pursue those it considers responsible for targeting its leaders, using escalatory language in which it stressed that “retribution” will remain its goal.
