The Commander of the Aerospace Force of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Brigadier General Majid Mousavi, confirmed that Iranian military operations will continue, stressing that “effective and directed bombardment on the enemy will continue from all parts of the country until calm returns to the southern coast and the Strait of Hormuz.”
Mousavi said on Friday that “all of Iran, from Tehran to the south, is united,” referring to the continuation of military operations in response to the American attacks.
His statements came after the American strikes that targeted an airport, a railway station, and two bridges in southern Iran at dawn on Friday, which Tehran announced resulted in the death of 3 civilians.
In response to these strikes, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the implementation of attacks targeting American bases at the Al Udeid base in Qatar, the Azraq base in Jordan, and the Al Tanf base in Syria, stressing that the response came within the framework of confronting what it described as “American aggression.”
The Guard also issued a strong warning to the United States and countries that host American bases in the region, considering that targeting civilians and non-military infrastructure and crossing “red lines” will be met with a “harsh, continuous and extremely destructive” response.
For its part, the Iranian army announced the targeting of the Sakhir base in Bahrain, in addition to sites where American forces are stationed in Kuwait, stressing that these operations came in response to the recent American strikes.
These developments come in light of the escalation of the military confrontation between Washington and Tehran, with the continuation of American strikes on targets in southern Iran during the past days, in exchange for Iran expanding the scope of its operations against American military bases and installations in the region.
