Al-Sadiq explained, in a post on his account on the “X” platform, that the director of the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Authority, Rabih Khalifa, informed him that maintenance work on the Dbayeh line, which dates back about 150 years, had stopped after the bulk of it had been completed, and that it would be completed at the beginning of the winter season.
He pointed out that the recent water outage came as a result of these actions, stressing that nutrition will return to normal in Beirut, while the water distribution schedule will be announced next Monday and Tuesday.
Regarding the Al-Rabie project, which includes more than 400 families who have not yet received water, Al-Sadiq pointed out that the authority had reached an alternative solution after the failure of implementing the previous project, which required water to be delivered through the Ghobeiry municipality, expecting that water would reach the project within a month.
