Today, Friday, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Naval Force published a picture of US Army battleships, stressing that “the Americans are approaching zero hour at every moment.”
The Navy said in its comment on the photo that “the movements and equipment of the US Army are under complete control,” adding that “the Americans are getting closer at every moment to zero hour to begin our operations against the naval units of the US Central Command (CENTCOM).”
This threat comes in light of the ongoing military escalation between Washington and Tehran, which began on July 8 with US forces carrying out a series of strikes on Iran, which US Central Command said were in response to Iranian movements against commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran later responded by launching attacks targeting American bases and interests in a number of Middle Eastern countries, which led to a widening of the confrontation between the two parties.
