The South Lebanon Water Corporation announced the completion of rehabilitation and re-operation works at the Batouleh station, in cooperation with UNICEF, in a step aimed at enhancing the continuity of water supply and improving service in a number of southern towns.
The Corporation explained that the work included maintaining the submersible pumps and conducting the necessary technical and operational tests, which allowed the station to be returned to service and the resumption of water pumping towards the Siddiqin station, and from there to dozens of towns in the districts of Tire and Bint Jbeil, in addition to the areas fed directly from the Batoulih station.
She stressed that the project comes within the framework of ongoing cooperation with UNICEF to support the infrastructure of the water sector, ensure the sustainability of the operation of vital facilities and secure access to water to subscribers.
