Businessman Bahaa Rafik Hariri mourned former Minister Dr. Bahij Tabbara, describing him as one of the most prominent men of law and state in Lebanon, stressing that he left a firm mark on legal, constitutional and national life.

Hariri said, in a post on the “X” platform: “With great sadness and sadness, we received news of the death of former Minister Dr. Bahij Tabbara, one of the most prominent men of law and state in Lebanon, who left a firm mark on legal, constitutional and national life.”

He added that the deceased was one of the closest associates of the martyr Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, his companion and friend, noting that a long journey of national action and belief in the project of the state, institutions and the rule of law brought them together.

Hariri offered his deepest condolences to Tabbara’s family, friends and lovers, and to the legal family and everyone who knew him and worked with him, asking God Almighty to cover him with His vast mercy, to make him dwell in His spacious gardens, and to inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.

He concluded by saying: “We belong to God and to Him we shall return.”
