According to a report published by TechCrunch, Reflection AI will pay $150 million per month from July 1, 2026 until 2029 in exchange for access to Nvidia’s GP300 chips and supporting hardware inside the Colossus 2 data center. The value of the agreement reaches $6.3 billion, with either party having the right to terminate the contract with 90 days’ notice after the first 3 months. The report stated that the deal is smaller than SpaceX’s contracts with Anthropic. And Google.
Founded in 2024 by former Google DeepMind researchers, Reflection AI is using the deal to promote its strategy based on open-weighted models, which are models that publish training transactions to the public. The company said the agreement is one of the largest announced infrastructure commitments in the field of open AI, while the report explained that the Colossus center was originally built for XAI projects before SpaceX tapped the chip stock into contracts with major laboratories.
